Joining Sportsnet 650 for its inaugural season, Corey Hirsch mans the radio booth as the game analyst for Vancouver Canucks game broadcasts. A former NHL goaltender, Hirsch brings years of on-and-off ice experience and insight to the Sportsnet 650 airwaves.
Prior to joining Sportsnet 650, Hirsch worked in front of the camera as a hockey analyst on Sportsnet. Making regular appearances on NHL on Sportsnet broadcasts, Hirsch provided analysis and commentary on national and regional NHL games across the network.
Before transitioning to a career in broadcast, Hirsch enjoyed 14 years in the National Hockey League as a goaltender with the Vancouver Canucks, playing more than 100 regular season games from 1995-1999. In 1996, the Medicine Hat native also named to the NHL All-Rookie team. Following his playing career, Hirsch went on to coach in the NHL for six years with Toronto and St. Louis.
In international competition, Hirsch captured a silver medal with Team Canada at the 1994 Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer, Norway.
Currently living in Vancouver, Hirsch is the proud father of three children and is a strong advocate for mental health.
