Bringing over 26 years of broadcasting experience to the broadcast booth, Dave Randorf has become one of the most recognizable play-by-play voices for the NHL on Sportsnet and Hockey Night in Canada since joining the network in June 2014.
Breaking into the sports media world as an editorial assistant in 1985, Randorf spent four years in the TSN Newsroom before stepping in front of the camera for a Vancouver-based television station. Returning to TSN in 1995 as a Vancouver correspondent, Randorf was later named co-anchor of TSN’s west coast edition of SportsCentre in 1997.
Prior to joining Sportsnet, Randorf served four seasons as the full-time regional voice of the Montreal Canadiens, and also served as a play-by-play commentator for the IIHF World Championships and the World Junior Hockey Championships.
A Gemini Award nominee for Best Sports Broadcaster in 2000, Randorf hosted the CFL on TSN for 12 years and has hosted 6 Grey Cups including the 100th Grey Cup in 2012. He has also covered many scores of sporting events over his career, including NHL, CHL, NBA, the Super Bowl, Memorial Cup and Canada Games. Randorf has also reported on seven Olympic Games, and served as host of Olympic Daytime for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games and the London 2012 Olympic Games.
