Before joining Sportsnet, Walker was an already established sports radio personality in Western Canada. Beginning his media career in North Battleford, SK, Walker worked SJHL (Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League) games for CJNB before moving on to cover the Western Hockey League in Red Deer, AB from 2004-2010. Joining Sportsnet 960 The FAN in 2010, Walker established himself as a fan favourite in Calgary. Co-Hosting alongside Boomer and Turtle, The Morning Show was a prime source for the Calgary Flames and hockey news on the West Coast. Following his time in Calgary, Walker made the move to Toronto to co-host the Sportsnet 590 The FAN morning show alongside Greg Brady in Toronto.
Over the course of his radio career, Walker’s most memorable moment occurred in 2012 when he was the national Game Night Host for the 2012 World Junior Hockey Championships for Sportsnet Radio.
While growing up in Saskatchewan, Walker was inspired by several athletes including Wayne Gretzky, Joe Carter, Donovan Bailey and Brett Farve. Former Blue Jays pitcher Pat Hentgen and Saskatchewan Roughriders wide receiver Don Narcisse also made lasting impressions for the radio host.
